Garcia Wilburn Gallery is proud to present Midnight Mythology, a solo exhibition featuring 25 works and installations by emerging Fine Art Photographer, Donna Garcia.

This show will be unique, as most of it will be guided in partial darkness and have at least one interactive element. The artist’s goal is to create an experience for the viewer, not just an exhibition.

Midnight Mythology contains work spanning the last two years and Garcia describes it as “…a manifestation of my desire to acquire a greater understanding of how myths shape our reality, how they relate to a menageries of convictions that we have been raised with and investigates psychological depths of character through distortion / abstraction. In so doing, I have ventured to remove reality itself, in order to find an essential inner reality. It is a struggle to know what is real, because over time, there has been a pervasive corruption of truth. What is myth and what is real has becomes mutated.”

The opening reception will be on Thursday, October 11, 2018 from 6pm to 9pm at 75 Bennett St, Atlanta, GA (free parking). Come and experience Midnight Mythology.
